She reminds Ekam that she is now engaged to Sartaj, emphasizing that Harleen is a positive influence in his life. Unwilling to accept Harleen, Ekam remains adamant.
Meanwhile, Harleen finds herself in tears, mourning over Ekam’s enduring love for Nehmat. Within the reflection of a mirror, Harleen’s alter ego materializes and advises her to let go of Ekam, as he will inevitably return to Nehmat, who has reentered his life. Harleen confesses that she understands this reality, which drove her to attempt suicide. The alter ego implores Harleen to depart from Ekam’s life and his home. Frustration builds within Harleen, and she is on the verge of shattering the mirror. However, she pauses, realizing that she is wearing the mangalsutra adorned with pictures of Nehmat and Ekam.
Ekam expresses to Nehmat that Harleen holds no significance in his life. He questions Nehmat if Harleen doesn’t love him. Nehmat vehemently denies it by shouting “no.” Meanwhile, Harleen, overwhelmed with emotions, shatters her mangalsutra and throws it away. Determined, she begins packing her bag. Naaz and Cherry make their entrance, and Naaz taunts Harleen, stating that she has finally realized she cannot be someone’s stepny (stepmother). Harleen reprimands Naaz and demands her to leave. Naaz mocks Harleen and departs with laughter. Harleen, deeply hurt by Ekam’s actions, walks away, carrying her bag.
In another scene, Ekam discloses to Nehmat his intention to reveal the truth to Harleen. However, Nehmat intervenes, attempting to make Ekam comprehend that he and Harleen are married. She pleads with him not to proceed, emphasizing that Harleen loves him dearly and may even contemplate suicide. Ekam retorts by asking Nehmat about his love for her. Nehmat insists that this is wrong and flees from the scene. Ekam, frustrated, shouts that Nehmat cannot leave with him and chases after her.
Sartaj intercepts Harleen as she attempts to leave the house, only to be met with her accusations, blaming him for reintroducing Nehmat, a person from Ekam’s past, into their lives. Meanwhile, Sartaj contemplates Nehmat’s whereabouts and ponders how to disclose to her the news of her pregnancy with Ekam’s child. In a moment of desperation, Ekam utters to Nehmat that they should be prepared to face death together if they cannot be together in life. He strikes his head against a tree, causing Nehmat to cry out, pleading for him to stop. Ekam reveals that Nehmat does not want him to leave Harleen, leading him to make a decision. Unexpectedly, Ekam shocks Nehmat by proposing a love relationship between them if she wishes for him to stay with Harleen.
Nehmat adamantly refuses to betray Harleen, standing firm in her loyalty. On the other hand, Ekam insists that they have been betrayed, asserting that Nehmat belongs exclusively to him. Nehmat pushes Ekam away, reminding him of her marital commitment and emphasizing that their relationship has no legitimate name. However, Ekam responds with a laugh, proclaiming that their connection shall be labeled as love. Disagreeing, Nehmat asserts that it will be deemed an illicit affair. Undeterred by societal judgments, Ekam places the decision in Nehmat’s hands: either accept his love or witness his departure from Harleen’s life. With that, he departs, leaving Nehmat behind. In response, Nehmat passionately exclaims the injustice of the situation, vowing to protect their love from being tarnished and denouncing Ekam’s selfishness.
