Sartaj prays fervently for Nehmat and her unborn child, while Ekam and Harleen seek blessings and offer prayers to the Goddess. Meanwhile, Nehmat covers her face with her dupatta and ventures into the kitchen. Ekam, walking through the corridor, suddenly detects the smell of gas, and simultaneously, Sartaj senses the same. Realizing that Nehmat is in the kitchen, both Sartaj and Ekam swiftly rush to her rescue. Inside the kitchen, Nehmat attempts to light the diya but unintentionally ignites a matchstick, causing a sudden fire to erupt. In the midst of the chaos, Ekam enters the kitchen bravely to save Nehmat, yet the flames quickly engulf the area, trapping them inside. Just in time, Sartaj arrives at the scene, witnessing the dire situation. With great determination, Ekam manages to rescue Nehmat and guide her out of the blazing kitchen.
Sartaj and Ekam raise their voices, desperately shouting “fire!” The family members, alarmed by the commotion, are stunned to hear the news. Urging everyone to evacuate, they promptly leave the premises. Sartaj promptly contacts the fire brigade for assistance. Naaz, burdened with guilt for her mistake that led to the fire accident, decides to keep it a secret from everyone. Ekam insists that everyone return home while he stays behind. Harleen adamantly refuses to leave without Ekam, but he persuades her to depart for their safety.
As the family anxiously awaits news of Ekam and Sartaj’s well-being, Ekam eventually arrives, causing Harleen to express her deep concern for him. Nehmat anxiously queries Ekam about Sartaj’s whereabouts, to which Ekam, surprised, responds that he hasn’t returned home. Worried about Sartaj’s safety, they band together to search for him. Ekam, Nehmat, and Harleen proceed to Randhawa’s house, where they unexpectedly find Sartaj. However, their astonishment grows as Sartaj exhibits strange behavior and obstructs Ekam and his family from entering the house. Displaying a sign indicating that outsiders are not permitted, he bewilders everyone present. Sartaj declares that he now claims ownership of the house and all associated property, substantiating his claim with legal documents. Ekam reads the papers intently as Sartaj arrogantly settles himself into an armchair, maintaining an air of authority.
Balveer confronted Sartaj, questioning the nonsense he was speaking, while Naaz implored Sartaj to cease his jokes. Sartaj, in turn, urged Naaz to first understand the cause of the situation, claiming it was due to Balveer. However, Balveer was puzzled, unable to comprehend Sartaj’s words. Sartaj reminded him of their encounter when Balveer was carrying the property papers, emphasizing his own excitement at that moment. As tensions rose, Balveer raised his hand to strike Sartaj, but Sartaj quickly intercepted and held his hand.
Asserting his dominance, Sartaj warned Balveer not to dare slap him, as he owned all the property and could easily evict him and his new wife from the house. Naaz tried to play the victim, accusing Sartaj of betraying his own family. Ekam questioned Sartaj about the authenticity of his signature, prompting Sartaj to challenge Ekam to verify it himself, affirming that he had indeed signed it. Ekam recollected signing the document at the police station. Harleen turned to Nehmat, inquiring if she was aware of Sartaj’s actions.
Ekam expressed his disbelief, wondering how Sartaj could engage in such behavior when he had claimed disinterest in money. Sartaj refused to provide any explanation to Ekam, stating that he never placed his trust in anyone. Sartaj declared that Ekam had learned the lesson of never trusting loved ones, as they were prone to betrayal. In a commanding tone, he ordered everyone to leave. Ekam lamented the betrayal of his trust, vowing to reclaim the house, which held great sentimental value as the last symbol of his father.
Ekam assured Renuka that they would retrieve their home from Sartaj. As they prepared to depart, Nehmat surprised everyone by refusing to go with them, asserting her decision to stay by Sartaj’s side. Ekam scolded Nehmat, reminding her that outsiders were not welcome according to the rules. Nehmat argued that she was not an outsider since she was Sartaj’s fiancée.
Ekam expressed his concern, warning Nehmat about the gravity of her decision and urging her to come with him before it was too late. Nehmat dismissed Ekam’s worries, insisting that she saw something that the others failed to recognize. Renuka chastised Nehmat, and Harleen acknowledged her confusion about Nehmat’s actions, but hoped that Nehmat herself understood the reasons behind her choices. Rupy suggested they all go to his house, prompting their departure. Nimmo cryptically remarked that only God knew Nehmat’s true intentions. Back at the Sandhus’ house, Satti and Rupy were taken aback by Sartaj’s behavior. Naaz further fueled the anger against Nehmat, claiming that she was complicit with Sartaj. Renuka broke down in tears, and Ekam promised to reclaim their house. Rupy found it difficult to believe that Sartaj was capable of such actions, while Naaz blamed Nehmat, accusing her of planting the idea in Sartaj’s mind prior to their arrival.
